The dream of Alan Huang: In the early nineties Alan Huang managing department of optical computers in the American company Bell Laboratories, struggled with the optical scheme which would replace electronics in the computer. The model in which wires would be replaced with fiber light guides, did not turn out in any way. Huang see every day the same dream. The messengers bore on two being crossed corridors of a short glass of papers which, probably, symbolized information in a dream. On crossing of corridors constantly there was a jam as cross streams faced. But once in the same dream messengers as ghosts, began to pass free through each others. Having woken up, Huang understood that photons possess such ability, unlike streams of electrons which he got to use, developing usual electronic schemes. And it could design the optical computer using this feature of light.
